As an Import Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the movement of pharma products and other medical goods, ensuring compliance with customer temperature requirements and UK GDP regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and coordinate the movement of pharma products and other medical goods, adhering to customer temperature requirements and UK GDP regulations.
  • Complete import declarations for pharma-related goods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Liaise directly with carriers and handling agents to resolve exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Liaise directly with transport and warehouse teams on shipment planning and coordination.
  • Use Cargo Wise to create, manage, and maintain shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Manage customer complaints and concerns, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Support the management of key performance indicators, ensuring the team's performance is measured and improved.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding industry import and related processes.
  • Experience within the freight forwarding industry, with a preference for pharma-related movements.
  • Experience of HMRC procedures and good knowledge of CDS.
  • Proven import experience with a good knowledge of customer service, processes, and systems.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Results-driven and able to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Good education and ability to learn new computer systems.
