Casual Support Worker Role Overview

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities in various settings, including community outings and residential homes.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, medication administration, and household tasks.
  • Promote independence and encourage active participation in meaningful activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to individual care plans and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Genuine compassion and empathy for individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, understanding, and a positive attitude.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or learning disabilities is preferred but not required.
