About the Role

Project Risk Engineer

As a Project Risk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Controls Manager to facilitate the effective execution of the risk management framework across various project segments. This position is essential for ensuring that risks are properly identified, evaluated, and that appropriate strategies for risk response are effectively planned and executed.

You will be part of a growing terminal that holds significant importance for the energy infrastructure and supply security of the UK. As the largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in Europe and the eighth largest globally by tank capacity, our site encompasses over 600 acres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor all project-related risks, ensuring that each risk has an assigned owner, mitigation strategies are established, and risks are closed when successfully addressed or accepted.
  • Assist in the identification of emerging risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular risk review meetings with project teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that qualitative and quantitative risk analyses are performed in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide regular updates on risk status to management and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Document and formalize project risk management procedures, philosophies, and processes.

About You

  • Strong knowledge and experience in risk management processes.
  • Proven experience in project execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and a proactive approach to achieving objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office for creating project schedules on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Membership in a professional institution, such as PMI or APM, is preferred.
