Job Title: Dermatology Senior Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dermatology Senior Nurse Specialist to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Dermatology Senior Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing advice and support to patients, relatives, and carers regarding their skin conditions.

You will also be involved in the assessment and delivery of care needs to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive service for patients with general skin conditions. Additionally, you will provide expert advice and support to colleagues within dermatology settings, promoting best practice and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert nursing advice and support to patients, relatives, and carers regarding their skin conditions.
  • Assess and deliver care needs to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive service for patients with general skin conditions.
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues within dermatology settings.
  • Participate in health promotion and education activities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to dermatology care.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in dermatology nursing, preferably in a senior or advanced practice role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of national standards and guidelines related to dermatology care.
