About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Sizewell C. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of health and safety professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality health and safety services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate health and safety risks, and to develop and implement control measures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior health and safety role, preferably in a construction or infrastructure project.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including CDM Regulations and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications, with Chartered Membership (or working towards it).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
