About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team at AmcoGiffen. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our regional commercial teams and providing financial expertise to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze key financial data from our live commercial projects to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Collate and summarize information from multiple sites to provide a comprehensive analysis of our financial performance.
- Work closely with our regional commercial directors to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Support our regional commercial managers during external audits and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
- Act as a subject matter expert on contract accounting and influence system development within the organization.
- Support analysis and reporting related to mergers and acquisitions activity.
- Lead the completion of the annual insurance questionnaire and implement improvements to our financial performance.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with budget holders, influencing and challenging as necessary to drive business growth and success.
- Ensure the accuracy of contract working capital reporting, including weekly contract receipts forecasting, debtors aging, and challenge areas of aged contract Work In Progress (WIP) and other areas of contract risk.
- Challenge cash positions on contracts with commercial teams to ensure timely payments to suppliers and compliance with the Prompt Payment Code of practice.
- Manage and develop the Assistant Finance Business Partner, coaching them through their role and professional examinations.
- Develop relationships with other key stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a CIMA finalist or newly qualified Management Accountant with strong attention to detail, data analytics skills, and experience in management accounts and business partnering. They will also have a flexible work ethic, be passionate about contributing to the success of the business, and be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
