Job Title: Business Development Director - Private Networks

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Director - Private Networks to join our Commercial team. Reporting to the Group Head of Offshore Wind, you will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of ABP's offshore wind portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the OSW sector.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities and potential partners.
  • Lead the evaluation of new business prospects and feasibility studies for OSW projects.
  • Negotiate and structure strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to support business growth.
  • Represent ABP at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote our capabilities and forge new connections.
  • Develop detailed business cases, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis, to support new initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of OSW projects from concept to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration in the OSW sector.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and market feedback to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficiency in project management with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities in the energy and OSW sector.
