Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our Respiratory Service at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work primarily within Pulmonary Rehab across East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate a problem-solving approach to their work. They will be flexible to work across the pathways of care within clinical settings of the Respiratory Service.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide competent assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring support and reassurance to patients.
  • Gain understanding and occasional participation in decontamination processes of endoscopic equipment, with awareness of infection control measures.
  • Participate in moving and handling needs of patients.
  • Develop competent IT skills.
  • Contribute to general cleaning of clinical areas and equipment, adhering to Infection Control Policies.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.
