We are seeking a Construction Manager to become a vital part of our team at Kier Group.

Location: Based in the West Midlands with necessary travel to various project sites.

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Manager , you will play a crucial role in our construction initiatives, ensuring the successful execution of projects while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing site safety protocols and operations, including conducting thorough inductions and daily briefings.
  • Enhancing operational productivity by effectively assigning tasks and supervising site personnel.
  • Managing site resources by organizing and procuring necessary equipment and materials.
  • Collaborating with management to establish safe and cost-effective work practices while maintaining accurate records of site activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, method statements, and risk assessments, while promoting the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implementing quality assurance measures, including regular maintenance schedules and performance evaluations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

This opportunity is well-suited for you if:

  • You possess a Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related discipline, or a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in managing construction site operations.
  • You hold a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
  • You have completed relevant site training, including confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor certifications.
