Role Overview:
As a Production Planner, your primary responsibility will be to create and manage production schedules accurately, ensuring alignment with customer demands and factory capabilities while maintaining raw material availability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consistently operate in a food-safe manner, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to factory standards.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards to foster a food-safe working environment.
  • Promote a culture of food safety grounded in knowledge, capability, and positive attitude.
  • Follow all quality procedures to produce food-safe products that meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Identify and address food safety or product quality concerns promptly.
  • Communicate issues to your line manager in a timely manner.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Main Role Objectives:

  • Develop a comprehensive production plan that includes production output and schedules for monitoring, reviewing, and adjusting as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the production manager and senior planner to establish and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) weekly across the supply chain.
  • Conduct weekly and daily raw material call-offs in partnership with the Goods In Team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods, raw materials, and packaging in accordance with procurement procedures.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing shortages and obsolete stock.
  • Work alongside the Senior Planner to analyze sales forecasts and collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and Demand Planners to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned when necessary.
  • Support the achievement of an On-Time In-Full (OTIF) KPI of 98.5% and a Master Schedule attainment KPI of 90%.

Key Performance Measures:

  • Master Schedule Attainment at 92%.
  • OTIF Target of 98.5%.
  • Raw Material Availability.

Personal Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Strong data analysis and numerical skills with the ability to evaluate, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Proactive and practical approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, perseverance, and adaptability.
  • Highly organized and capable of responding to the demands of a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build effective relationships within a cross-functional team.
  • Proficient in using MRP systems.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
