Yorkshire Greens (YG) is a partnership between 3 companies: d’Arta UK, Swaythorpe Growers and GWE Biogas. D’Arta Uk is a long standing producer of frozen vegetables in continental Europe and has overall responsibility for the day to day operation of YG as well as the sales & marketing of its products. Swaythorpe Growers is a group of farmers formed into a Producer Organisation with the aim of growing, harvesting and supplying peas and broad beans for YG. GWE Biogas takes in food waste from across the UK (including YG) and converts it into renewable energy in the form of biogas and electricity supplying 100% of YG ‘s energy needs.

We are looking for a full-time:

- **Quality Inspector**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Shift QC is responsible for ensuring product quality is monitored throughout production and packing to ensure product quality and legality is maintained at all times.

Report quality issues to Shift Manager or designated deputy in a timely manner, ensuring correct identification and traceability of raw material, intermediate and processed product.

Control of packaging and quality assessment checks in line with QA procedures and customer specification.

Organoleptic assessment (cook ups) in line with customer specification. Monitoring of product quality via liaison with line inspectors Perform metal detector and checkweigher checks and monitoring.

Full, accurate and timely completion of all QC checks related documentation. Calibrate (if necessary) and set up optical scanner (sortex) at the start of packing order, check its normal operation and make the necessary adjustments during the packing run.

Take samples for shelf life analysis as per respective customer specification, and full and accurate completion of associated documentation.

Ensure samples are correctly stored in cold store and labelled accordingly.

**WORKING HOURS**

Working 2 week Rotating shift pattern:
Week One - Monday > Thursday 06:00 > 18:00 (days)

Week Two - Monday > Thursday 18:00 > 06:00 (nights)
