Job Title: Children's Home Night Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Home Night Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Residential Support Workers and ensuring the smooth operation of the home during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Residential Support Workers and ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care to children.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Ensure that all children's needs are met, including their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to ensure that children receive the best possible care.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Ensure that all records and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Registered Manager and other stakeholders to discuss the home's performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a residential care setting, preferably with children.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Knowledge of child development and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
