Job Summary:

Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children's Service is seeking an experienced Children's Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Maple Rise, a children's home for UAS children aged under 16-years-old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to UAS children
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the well-being and resettlement of UAS children
  • Collaborate with other teams and services to ensure seamless support for UAS children
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home, including staff supervision and training
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local services and organizations to provide additional support for UAS children

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing a residential setting for children
  • Proven track record of leading a team to deliver high-quality care and support
  • Strong understanding of the needs of UAS children and the challenges they face
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and services
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other relevant standards
