Job Title: Senior Clinical Nurse Leader
Job Summary:
The Senior Clinical Nurse Leader will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in the clinical area. This will involve working closely with the Sister/Charge Nurse to develop and implement effective clinical practice, and to provide leadership and guidance to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective clinical practice in the clinical area, in line with Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including mentoring and coaching to support their professional development.
- Work closely with the Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure that the clinical area is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Liaise with other departments and agencies to ensure the smooth running of patient care.
- Act as a clinical expert and role model, providing specialist knowledge and advice to staff.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, and to the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, and in the development of staff training programs.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background and experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
- Knowledge of clinical governance and quality improvement principles, and experience of implementing these in a clinical setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on prioritizing tasks and managing workload.
