About the Organization
This position is a regional role that necessitates travel across various Healthcare Ireland facilities within a designated area, encompassing diverse care categories.
Key Responsibilities
The Kitchen Assistants in our facilities are vital in maintaining the efficient and safe functioning of our kitchens, ensuring that residents enjoy high-quality meals and dining experiences. This role is crucial for the wellbeing of our residents through the delivery of exceptional, personalized dining services.
As a member of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef, the Kitchen Assistant's responsibilities extend beyond meal preparation and service. The role includes supporting the dietary requirements of our residents while fostering a safe and positive work environment.
- Ensure that all catering supplies and equipment are stored and accounted for according to the company's Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver meals and other catering items to various locations within the facility promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with the basic preparation of food items under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, catering, and serving areas, adhering to the company's Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Ensure a clean and organized environment throughout the facility, in compliance with operational standards and statutory regulations.
- Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Chef or Cook.
