VisionFR Limited is in search of a Finance Manager to join our dynamic team within a digital product agency. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, primarily remote, with the flexibility to visit the office twice a month or more if desired.

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in various financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, and managing accounts payable and receivable. This position involves general accounting tasks and additional responsibilities as needed. You will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, and will oversee the Management Accountant and transactional staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Authorize monthly payment runs.
  • Facilitate payment setups in the banking system.
  • Enhance the Accounts Payable process, including implementing new procedures.
  • Provide holiday cover for accounts payable.
  • Conduct final reviews of sales invoices.
  • Improve the Accounts Receivable process, including establishing new protocols.

General Accounting Duties:

  • Review and approve journal entries.
  • Sign off on all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare cash flow reports for Portugal.
  • Review consolidated cash flow statements.
  • Approve VAT returns.
  • Act as the primary contact for tax matters and external audits.

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee UK payroll operations.
  • Review payroll processes for Portugal.
  • Update and manage payroll forecasts.
  • Serve as the contact for payroll audits.

Administrative and Reporting Functions:

  • Assist in setting up new projects and clients.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Lead the Portugal and consolidated month-end processes.
  • Collaborate with the Management Accountant on company reporting.
  • Generate client reports for the client management team.
  • Finalize the consolidated month-end and prepare the Board Pack.
  • Work with the Management Accountant to develop budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a similar finance role.
  • Finalist or fully qualified in a recognized accounting qualification.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
