We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef Manager to join our team at Thomas Franks Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading the food production and service operations to ensure that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Food Production and Service: Operate, monitor, and control the food production and service operations to ensure that food is produced and presented to the highest possible standards, according to our stated standards and client requirements.
- Menu Planning and Development: Plan and devise menus that are not only delicious but also nutritious, making the best use of local, sustainably sourced, and in-season produce, while adhering to our company-approved suppliers.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our high standards.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all production, storage, and service areas and equipment are maintained in a hygienic and clean condition, demonstrating a thorough understanding of food safety and health and safety legislation.
- Customer Service: Ensure that the prompt service of all meals and service is to the company/client standards, and that all customers receive excellent service.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the preparation of planning menus, rotas, and placing of orders to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our customer demands.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure that our kitchen operations are running efficiently and effectively.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in contract catering or independent education.
- Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong understanding of food safety and health and safety legislation.
- Education: Food hygiene certificate preferred, but not essential.
- Personal Qualities: Team player, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
