POSITION SUMMARY

Wood PLC is seeking a Principal HVAC Engineer to contribute to our engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct HVAC engineering tasks for various projects.
  • Serve as Lead HVAC Engineer when necessary.
  • Oversee the creation and approval of all HVAC engineering deliverables.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project deliverables.
  • Utilize your expertise in designing and validating ventilation systems, delivering HVAC designs at a Principal level.
  • Generate design documentation, including Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs), Basis of Design (BoD), and Plant Sizing Calculations.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, including Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports.
  • Identify changes in scope and schedule following the Change Control Process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures and regulations throughout the design process.
  • Strive to complete all assigned tasks within the agreed budget and timeline.
  • Prepare estimates and schedules, contributing to their review.
  • Perform sizing of HVAC equipment as required for project stages.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience in FEED/EPC projects.
  • Proficient in client management and briefing activities.
  • Experience coordinating within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/Building Services systems.
  • Good project management skills in the HVAC discipline.
  • Familiarity with client/industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Understanding of current 'Green' directives related to HVAC and building services.
