About the Role

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Principal HVAC Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Principal HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for providing HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical, and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC engineering activities for projects, including the design and substantiation of ventilation systems.
  • Act as Lead HVAC Engineer if required, and ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
  • Deliver written work, including Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports, and ensure that design complies with relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process, and prepare estimates and schedules for review.
  • Perform sizing of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of project, and ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
Requirements
  • Degree Qualified in a relevant field.
  • FEED / EPC experience, with a strong understanding of client management and briefing activities.
  • Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, with a sound technical, construction, and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment, and systems.
  • Good project management skills within the HVAC discipline, with experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Knowledge of current 'Green' directives as they relate to HVAC and building services.
