Wood is seeking a highly skilled Principal HVAC Engineer to join our Projects business unit on a contract basis. As a Principal HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical, and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform HVAC engineering activities for projects, including the design and substantiation of ventilation systems.
- Act as Lead HVAC Engineer if required, and ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
- Deliver written work, including Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports, and ensure that design complies with relevant procedures and regulations.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process, and prepare estimates and schedules for review.
- Perform sizing of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of project, and ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
- Degree Qualified in a relevant field.
- FEED / EPC experience, with a strong understanding of client management and briefing activities.
- Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment, with a sound technical, construction, and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment and systems.
- Good project management skills within the HVAC discipline, with experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Knowledge of current 'Green' directives as they relate to HVAC and building services.
