Job Title: Senior Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Originator

Location: UK (Hybrid Working)

Salary Compensation: £90,000 - £100,000 + Bonus Scheme

Key Responsibilities:

In the capacity of a PPA Originator, your primary focus will be on Large Developer PPAs and Corporate PPAs. Your responsibilities will include pinpointing opportunities, structuring agreements, obtaining internal approvals, and spearheading commercial negotiations with clients. You will collaborate with various teams to leverage our collective expertise, assisting in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and optimizing long-term value creation while managing acceptable risk levels.

Collaboration with Product Development and Marketing teams will be essential to ensure that the PPA business is equipped with appropriate products, communications, and events. By continuously evaluating the existing portfolio, you will enhance value, maximize returns, and sustain a robust market presence through engagement with key stakeholders in the UK market.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a solid track record of achieving results against challenging targets through effective relationship management. A comprehensive understanding of the GB electricity market, low carbon instruments (such as CfD, ROC, REGO), along with strong numerical and analytical capabilities to assess trends and evaluate risks, is essential. Direct experience with Corporate PPAs (CPPAs) is highly advantageous.

Exceptional commercial insight is vital, as is the ability to identify growth opportunities, recognize new business prospects, and cultivate relationships using diverse techniques. Confidence in engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is crucial.
