Key Responsibilities:

In the role of PPA Originator, your primary focus will be on Large Developer PPAs and Corporate PPAs. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, structuring agreements, obtaining internal approvals, and leading negotiations with clients. Collaboration with various teams will be essential to leverage our collective expertise, ensuring we align with the strategic objectives of the business while maximizing long-term value creation within acceptable risk parameters.

You will work closely with Product Development and Marketing teams to ensure that our PPA offerings are supported by appropriate products, effective communication strategies, and engaging events. By continuously analyzing our existing portfolio, you will drive value creation, enhance returns, and maintain a robust market presence through engagement with key stakeholders in the UK energy market.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a solid track record of achieving results against challenging targets through effective relationship management. A comprehensive understanding of the GB electricity market and low carbon instruments (such as CfD, ROC, REGO) is essential. Strong numerical and analytical capabilities are required to assess market trends and evaluate associated risks. Experience with Corporate PPAs (CPPAs) is highly advantageous.

Exceptional commercial insight is vital, along with the ability to identify growth opportunities and cultivate new business relationships using diverse techniques. Confidence in engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is a must.
