E1 EDF Trading Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Origination team in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As a Senior Business Developer, you will be responsible for developing access to the market segment of corporate and industrial customers in these regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate and industrial customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Market E1 EDF Trading Ltd's commodity trading services to customers, including gas, power, green energy, and financial oil or coal products.
  • Work closely with the Origination team to identify opportunities for structured or long-term transactions.
  • Collaborate with the flow and PPA desk to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Establish good working relationships with middle office and back office functions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of traders and portfolio managers with corporate and industrial customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the European gas, oil, or electricity markets is essential.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in the energy industry.
  • Marketing or sales acumen is an essential requirement.
  • Graduate qualification in business, marketing, sales, or other social studies or equivalent workplace experience.
  • German language skills, ideally as a native language.
  • Excellent sales and communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Strong own drive, satisfaction taken from deals done.
  • High frustration tolerance.
  • Proactive.
  • Willingness to travel.

Working Hours

8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Regular travel to Europe is required.
