Chemotherapy Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SACT trained nurse to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent care to patients requiring chemotherapy and supporting them throughout their cancer journey.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of the nursing team to support the unit manager in running an effective and safe unit.
- Deliver individualized, compassionate, and informed care to patients throughout their treatment pathway.
- Combine autonomy with team working sensitivity and professionalism.
- Support patients and their carers on all aspects of their care, including newly diagnosed and palliative intent.
- Be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care and service to patients.

We are looking for a nurse who:
- Has a first-level registered nurse qualification.
- Has evidence of continuing professional development.
- Is SACT competent.
- Has recent experience at band 5 or equivalent in Haematology/Oncology.
- Is a proficient clinician and clinical role model.
- Has experience of teaching, assessing, and supervising others in a clinical setting.
- Has a good understanding of current issues in nursing and the NHS.
- Can demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
- Can demonstrate excellent understanding of cancer treatments and their side effects/complications.
