Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Nurse to join our team at Senacre Dental Practice. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Manager and Head Nurse: You will work closely with our manager and head nurse to ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice.
  • Providing Support and Reassurance: You will provide emotional support and reassurance to our patients and other members of staff, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.
  • Training and Development: You will assist in the training and development of apprentice nurses, helping to shape the next generation of dental professionals.
  • Audit and Quality Control: You will be responsible for carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure that our practice meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Stock Control and Management: You will be responsible for managing our stock levels, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies to provide the best possible care for our patients.
  • Instrument Preparation and Sterilization: You will prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring that they are clean and ready for use.
  • X-ray Processing: You will process x-rays, ensuring that they are accurately labeled and stored.
  • Surgery Checks and Infection Control: You will conduct regular checks to ensure that our surgery is clean and free from infection.
  • Recording and Filing: You will record and file information about our patients, ensuring that their records are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Dental Nurse or trainee Dental Nurse with experience.
  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
