Family Solicitor Job Description

SKILLFRAME is seeking a highly skilled Family Solicitor to join our team in a busy firm of Solicitors. As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for conducting your own caseload and advising clients in various areas of Family Law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting caseloads in Family Law, including divorce, financial remedy orders, co-habitee disputes, and children matters.
  • Advising clients on alternative dispute resolution and providing guidance on co-habitation agreements and parenting plans.
  • Assisting in the Family Department and working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
  • Managing emails and electronic diaries through Outlook and maintaining good communication skills to liaise with clients and other parties involved in the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Family Law, with a proven track record of conducting caseloads and advising clients.
  • Good keyboard skills, with the ability to use Word and Excel for document production and audio digital dictation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and follow the firm's procedures.
  • Good numeracy and written skills, with the ability to manage emails and electronic diaries through Outlook.
