Family Law Solicitor Job Description

SKILLFRAME is seeking a highly skilled Family Law Solicitor to join our team in a busy office-based role. As a Family Law Solicitor, you will be responsible for conducting your own caseload with supervision and assisting in the Family Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct your own caseload with supervision, including divorce, financial remedy orders, co-habitee disputes, and children-related matters.
  • Advise clients on alternative dispute resolution and provide guidance on co-habitation agreements, parenting plans, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
  • Manage emails and electronic diaries through Outlook and communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in the legal process.
  • Prioritize workload, follow the firm's procedures, and maintain good numeracy and written skills.
  • Work under pressure to conclude assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Family Law, with a strong understanding of divorce, financial remedy orders, and children-related matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and other parties.
  • Good keyboard skills, with proficiency in Word and Excel for document production and audio digital dictation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Good numeracy and written skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documents.
