We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join the IT Department at Ashdown Group during an exciting period of growth and development. To be suitable for the role, you will need experience with the majority of the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage IT projects, including migrations and server builds, to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
  • Provide first-second line support and technical assistance to internal employees and remote workers, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach.
  • Maintain and secure the organisation's infrastructure, ensuring system integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party engineers to design, test, troubleshoot and update EDI interfaces, leveraging technical expertise and effective communication skills.
  • Occasionally attend remote sites, and will need a valid driving license, to provide on-site support and ensure business continuity.

Technical Skills:

  • Able to administer router configurations, networking, and security protocols to ensure robust and secure systems.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11, Office 365, SharePoint, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop, with a strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, and SFTP user setup and support.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and methodologies, with at least 2 years of experience in 1st/2nd line support roles.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Eager to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments, with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning.
