The Role: Support Worker in Mental Health Crisis Response

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic Home Treatment Team, Crisis Hub, and Mental Health Helpline. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and responsive support to individuals in crisis through phone calls, face-to-face assessments, and home visits.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Effectively communicate with service users, families, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
  • Demonstrate empathy, active listening skills, and a commitment to person-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE level education or equivalent
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in healthcare or the equivalent experience
  • Substantial experience working in a mental health and social care setting to diploma level
  • Experience in the clinical assessment of physical, psychological, and social needs
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
