About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at The Castle Inn in Castle Combe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and kitchen operations, leading and inspiring the kitchen and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative and seasonal food menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards of food preparation and cooking.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source the freshest and highest-quality ingredients, while maintaining strong relationships with food vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement effective food and beverage strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and costs, ensuring that food costs are maintained at budgeted levels.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the kitchen team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and seasonal menus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, staff, and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
