Lead Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a Lead HSE Advisor to join our established onsite team. This role emphasizes leadership within the HSE team, ensuring safety, compliance, and ongoing enhancement of all operational activities.

Main Responsibilities


• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the HSE team

• Mentor safety advisors within the team

• Offer support and advice to project managers on all HSE-related matters

• Ensure all operational activities adhere to company and site safety protocols, maintaining exemplary health & safety standards

• Foster a Safety First culture, delivering Toolbox Talks and safety training as necessary

• Monitor and report HSE performance in accordance with regional standards

• Identify concerns and opportunities for improvement, developing initiatives to promote continuous enhancement on projects

• Plan and execute HSE audits, ensuring timely resolution of any identified actions

• Encourage the submission of safety cards within the team, tracking all submissions and following up on actions with relevant managers

• Maintain effective communication with project management, Bilfinger's wider region, and client HSE representatives

Experience & Qualifications
Essential


• NEBOSH & IOSH certifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a Senior HSE role

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in the construction industry

• Background in Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or other highly regulated sectors

• Ability to obtain Security Clearance
