Job Description

Job Title: Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the Contract HSE functions, providing HSE solutions, and enabling the Contract/Operational Teams to implement the HSE Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Influence: Assist the Contract Leadership Team, clients, and other stakeholders in compliance with the HSE Management System and Contract HSE Performance.
  • Training Delivery: Support and deliver training to enable the contract team to successfully implement the HSE Management System.
  • Coaching and Support: Guide the Contract Operational and Supply Chain Contractors in meeting the Contract HSE requirements.
  • Supply Chain Assessment: Participate in the ongoing assessment of the contracts Supply Chain Contractors.
  • Objective Delivery: Support the achievement of annual Contract and Group HSE Objectives.
  • HSE Assurance: Engage with the Contract HSE Assurance programme to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Incident Investigation: Support the investigation of unplanned events and ensure the closeout of assurance findings, sharing lessons in accordance with the HSE Management System.
  • Data Reporting: Support the timely reporting, analysis, and use of HSE data to influence the Contract Leadership Team and develop data-based improvement plans.

Requirements:

  • Essential: 3 years of HSE-related experience, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Tech IOSH or AIEMA or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Over 5 years of relevant HSE experience in the industry, NEBOSH Occupational Safety Diploma or Environmental Diploma or equivalent, Cert IOSH or AIEMA or equivalent.

  • Analytical Thinking: Apply principles of CBM and arrive at logical conclusions, assess and consider perspectives objectively, using different methodologies to analyse data.
  • Planning and Strategic Thinking: Understand wider organisational, client, and political objectives, plan and prioritise work effectively, anticipate and manage risks and opportunities, develop and execute strategy, using dashboards and KPIs for feedback.
  • Assurance and Governance: Accept responsibility for decisions and actions, act with openness, honesty, and integrity, monitor performance against objectives and standards.
  • Innovative Thinking: Create space for innovative thinking and build teams with diverse perspectives, challenge the status quo and engage others in developing innovative approaches.
