Role Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Head of Operations to spearhead and revolutionize our manufacturing and distribution functions. As the foremost operations authority within the organization, you will play a crucial role in the senior leadership team, ensuring strategic alignment between commercial and supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, your influence will be vital in crafting and executing the operational strategy that aligns with our overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and uphold transparent reporting frameworks and performance visibility across all operational areas.
  • Devise and execute comprehensive strategies to boost efficiency and productivity, ensuring processes are scalable and repeatable.
  • Lead the strategic transition to a new operational facility, overseeing all phases from design to implementation.
  • Develop and implement extensive training and development initiatives to foster continuous learning.
  • Manage budgets effectively, promoting cost-efficient operations without sacrificing quality or service.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation, driven by clear objectives and performance indicators.
  • Represent operations at the senior leadership level, contributing to the overall business strategy and decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial operations and supply chain functions for seamless integration.

Strategic Focus Areas

As the Head of Operations, you will be pivotal in our upcoming site transition, ensuring operational continuity and success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing key performance indicators to assess, monitor, and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Overseeing a complex raw material supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate service to manufacturing teams.
  • Promoting accountability and continuous improvement within the team, fostering high performance and positive workplace dynamics.

Qualifications for Success

  • A proven history in a senior operational leadership role within manufacturing and distribution sectors.
  • Minimum of 10 years in senior operations management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in managing facility relocations and establishing new operational sites.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing and distribution contexts.
  • Expertise in data analysis and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary along with a bonus structure, a workplace pension, and a generous holiday allowance starting at 22 days, increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays.
