Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Operations to spearhead and revolutionize our manufacturing and distribution processes. As the foremost operations leader within the organization, you will play a vital role in the senior leadership team, ensuring strategic alignment between commercial and supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the operational strategy, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with our overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and uphold clear reporting frameworks and performance visibility across all manufacturing and distribution functions.
  • Develop and execute effective strategies to boost efficiency and productivity, ensuring processes are scalable and repeatable.
  • Lead the strategic transition to a new operational facility, overseeing the design, setup, and launch phases.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training and development initiatives to foster continuous learning.
  • Manage budgets effectively, driving cost-efficient operations without sacrificing quality or service.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, guided by clear objectives and KPIs.
  • Represent operations in senior leadership discussions, contributing to the overall business strategy and decision-making.
  • Integrate commercial operations with supply chain functions to ensure alignment and coherence.

Strategic Responsibilities

As the Head of Operations, you will be crucial in the upcoming site transition, ensuring operational continuity and success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing key performance indicators to assess, monitor, and enhance operational performance.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing a complex raw material supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate service to manufacturing teams.
  • Fostering accountability and continuous improvement within the team, promoting high performance and positive workplace dynamics.

Qualifications for Success

  • A proven history in a senior operational leadership position within manufacturing and distribution settings.
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior operations management experience, emphasizing strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in managing site relocations and establishing new operational facilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Expertise in data analysis and performance metrics, facilitating informed decision-making.
