Position Overview: The University of Cambridge is at the forefront of stem cell research and regenerative medicine. We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Research Technician to join a dynamic research group focused on the intricate mechanisms of limb regeneration in mammals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist researchers in the exploration of digit tip regeneration in murine models.
  • Provide technical support in various research projects, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including the management of supplies and the upkeep of protocols and reagent databases.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a background in developmental biology with hands-on experience in laboratory settings, particularly in handling mice. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Desirable Skills: Familiarity with cellular and molecular biology techniques such as histology, DNA & RNA extraction, and cell culture is preferred. Computational skills will also be advantageous.

Contract Details: This position is fixed-term, with funding available for a specified duration, subject to renewal based on performance and project needs.
