Job Summary
The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Leader to join our esteemed Stem Cell Institute. As a Senior Research Leader in Stem Cell Science, you will be responsible for leading a research group and contributing to the Institute's mission to transform human health through a deep understanding of stem and progenitor cell biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a research group and develop a cutting-edge research plan for the next 5 years
- Contribute to the Institute's mission and goals, and collaborate with other researchers across the University and its associated institutes
- Develop and implement innovative research projects, and secure external funding to support your research
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers, and provide guidance and support to ensure their success
- Engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research, and contribute to the development of new research initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years post-doctoral experience and a strong track record of research achievements
- Distinctive research achievements and a clear vision for your research group
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to secure external funding and support for your research
- Strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and a willingness to contribute to the University's efforts in these areas
