About the Role

As a Community Sensory Worker, you will provide personalized support to individuals with multiple sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and/or learning difficulties. You'll assist them in navigating daily tasks, engaging in social activities, and accessing essential services.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on people's lives, fostering independence and enhancing their well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, and community outings.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • A genuine passion for supporting people with sensory impairments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing person-centered care.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential due to the nature of this role.
  • Experience working with individuals with sensory impairments is highly desirable.
