Research Grant Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Grant Officer to join our Research Application Support (RAS) Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our researchers throughout the grant application process.
Main Responsibilities:- Identify and disseminate funding opportunities from various sources, including NIHR, UKRI, and Charities.
- Provide advice on proposal development, budgeting, and project planning to maximize the chances of funding success.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting research initiatives.
About the Role:This is a developmental role, starting at Band 5, with a comprehensive 12-month training program. Upon successful completion, the individual will progress to a Band 6 Research Grant Officer role.
Requirements:- Background in research, preferably with a solid understanding and experience in clinical research delivery.
- Familiarity with the UK funding research landscape and comfortable working with a diverse group of researchers and teams across complex organizations.
- Excellent IT skills, including a high level of proficiency in the MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
