Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer - Designer's Site Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to join our team as a Site Representative for the HS2 project in West London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for handling technical queries from the site contractor and acting as a liaison between the design house and the site team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle technical queries from the site contractor regarding design and underground structures.
  • Act as a key link between the contractor and the engineering consultants' design team.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site team on design-related matters.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure that design deliverables meet the project's requirements.
  • Ensure that all design-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in underground structures.
  • Strong understanding of British standards and Eurocodes.
  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
  • Ideal candidate will be chartered (ICE or MIStructE), but consideration given to those without.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
