At Structural Design Studio, we are a design-led Structural Engineering Consultancy based in South West London. Our award-winning studio provides high-quality, creative structural designs for both new build and refurbishment projects across all major sectors.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Structural Engineer at SDS, you will be responsible for designing buildings, drawings, calculations, and specifications. You will work with wider teams of consultants to deliver architecturally interesting projects and collaborate with contractors to ensure buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design buildings, drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Work with wider teams of consultants to deliver architecturally interesting projects
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure buildable solutions
  • Involved in commercial aspects of our business, including fee proposal writing, workload management, time management, and Business Development
  • Mentor and help develop younger Engineers
Requirements
  • A 1st or 2:1 in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Studying, or have studied, an ICE or IStructE accredited course
  • Team player
  • Good communication

  • Problem solving and lateral thinkers
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ambition to progress and work towards Chartership with the IstructE
