About Structural Design Studio

We are a design-led Structural Engineering Consultancy based in the UK, providing high-quality, creative structural designs for new build and refurbishment projects across various sectors.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key member of our studio, you will be responsible for designing buildings, collaborating with consultants and contractors, and contributing to the commercial aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design buildings, drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Collaborate with wider teams of consultants to deliver architecturally interesting projects
  • Work with contractors to ensure buildable solutions
  • Contribute to commercial aspects of our business, including fee proposal writing, workload management, and business development
  • Mentor and help develop younger engineers
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge through professional development
Requirements
  • A 1st or 2:1 in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Studying or having studied an ICE or IStructE accredited course
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Client-facing skills with problem-solving and lateral thinking abilities
  • A strong work ethic and ambition to progress and work towards Chartership with the IStructE
