About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at Beta Design Consultants. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for a variety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis of structural components and systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
  • Preparation of detailed design reports and specifications
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and assess structural conditions
  • Performing calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards
  • Structural assessment of existing buildings and development of repair and refurbishment solutions
  • Design and understanding of drainage systems and their construction methods
  • Earthworks, cut and fill, and retaining walls design and specifications
  • Management of structural design projects with autonomy, including building repairs, residential developments, and civil engineering designs for foundations and retaining walls
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, and architects to ensure effective project delivery
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in civil structural engineering, with exposure to British Standards, European Codes, or American Codes
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to structural engineering
