Contract Advisor - Operations and Business Support

Orion is seeking a highly skilled Contract Advisor to join our team in Aberdeen. This long-term contract role will involve the contractual management and administration of a portfolio of Contracts within the Operations & Business Support category.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract progress verification and change management
  • Claims mitigation and invoice verification
  • Closeout and contract administration

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Contract Development and Award:
  • Develop and implement post-award Contractor relationship and performance management
  • Engage and coordinate with Legal and other functional SMEs for contracting support
  • Contract development and award
Contract Administration:
  • Manage SAP/eProcurement system records
  • Highly experienced and knowledgeable with formal SCM systems
  • Contract drafting and formulation, legal requirements, Terms and Conditions, and risk assessment
Stakeholder Management:
  • Interface with internal stakeholders such as core business operations, compliance, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Materials, QA/QC, and Logistics
  • External stakeholder management
Contracting Process:
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end Contracting process (Planning, Sourcing, Negotiation, and Supplier/Contractor Management)
Requirements:
  • Proven business and commercial acumen, including negotiation skills
  • Proficient in SAP, e-Procurement systems, and Microsoft Office suite
