The Commercial Advisor will play a key role in a project team, working closely with colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be proactive, and have excellent communication skills.

The Commercial function at Wood is dedicated to ensuring best-in-class contractual and commercial administration. The team champions Wood\u2019s Financial Management Framework in all its aspects, and the Commercial Advisor will be expected to contribute to this effort.

The job objectives for this role include:

  • Maximizing commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre and post-contract)
  • Commercialization of a sub-Business Group service offerings to support business growth and strategy
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies
  • Resolution of disputes/claims and cash collection issues
  • Embedding effective commercial governance and assurance across the sub-Business Group/Project/Portfolio of Projects
  • Supporting the tender governance process for the sub-Business Group

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, along with appropriate professional qualification (preferred). They will also have experience in a similar role, good working knowledge and experience in commercial administration and procedures, and experience in drafting and interpretation of commercial documentation.

The ideal candidate will have utmost integrity, demonstrate commitment to Wood and client core values, and demonstrate commitment to Wood Commercial Process and Procedures. They will also have excellent communication skills, written, oral, and presentation, and be able to work as part of a team.
