Job Title: Senior Respite Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Respite Nurse to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a Senior Respite Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical nursing care to children with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being in our respite centre or in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to ensure the safe running of our respite centre and the delivery of high-quality care to children and their families.
  • Supervise and support our nursing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
  • Assess and evaluate the care needs of children and their families, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for children and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Children's Nurse with a minimum of four years of post-registration experience in nursing children with complex needs.
  • Experience in supervising and leading a team of nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
