Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Pediatric Respite Nurse, you will:
- Deliver exemplary palliative nursing care through thorough planning, assessment, and evaluation of patient needs.
- Foster a joyful environment for our young patients and their families, creating memorable experiences.
- Manage complex cases with professionalism while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate closely with a dynamic team, bringing your unwavering positive attitude to every interaction.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, encouraging their professional development and involvement in care planning.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Registered Nurse qualification with current registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- A deep understanding of the unique needs of children facing life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
- Experience in supervising and assessing nursing staff, along with a mentorship or teaching qualification.
- Strong communication skills, adaptable to various situations and individuals.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
- A valid driving license, as travel may be required.
