We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological and physical care to individuals with mental health needs, under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with service users, adopting a polite, positive, and empathetic approach.
- Communicate effectively and informatively with service users, families, and carers, demonstrating an understanding of care and treatment programmes.
- Exercise initiative, decision-making, and prioritization skills, working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality care, adhering to Trust values and policies.
- GCSE A-D or grade 3-9 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent, such as RQF NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Care Certificate or required to achieve within 12 weeks of commencement.
- Able to work effectively, professionally, and independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
