Job Title: Health Care Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a Health Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and related procedures for service users, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver planned care, maximizing the recovery and rehabilitation potential of our service users.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with service users, adopting a polite, positive, and empathetic approach to communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that service users' needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • GCSE A-D or grade 3-9 in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent, such as RQF NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Care Certificate or required to achieve within 12 weeks of commencement.
  • Able to work effectively, professionally, and independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
