We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team at our Gateshead Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing production plans according to demand and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products over various machinery.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimize delays.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Schedule shifts according to production needs and customer commitment dates.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Address issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption and planning accordingly.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure any changes to plans are communicated and managed effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced production planning role.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and flexibility.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Experience with planning nested trays and punnet forming machinery will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment where commitments may regularly change.
  • Pro-active with a can-do attitude.
  • Works well in a team or equally unaided.
