IT Asset Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized IT Asset Administrator to join our team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT. As an IT Asset Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and developing the Trust's IT asset register, configuration, and process documentation library, and associated systems.
Main Responsibilities- To take ownership of IT systems associated with hardware, software, and user account-related asset and configuration management, promoting a culture of continuous quality and service improvement.
- To support and lead the development of the Trust's use of IT asset and configuration management systems, working closely with the Digital Infrastructure Manager, IT Security Manager, and IT Support Manager.
- To assist in the organisation and coordination of planned downtime windows for the maintenance of IT assets, working with Information Asset Owners, IT support staff, and service stakeholders.
- To contribute to the delivery of work packages as defined by the Digital Programme, including assistance to colleagues in specifying requirements and the implementation of IT assets.
- To possess ITIL Qualification, PRINCE 2 Foundation, and evidence of continuous self-development.
- To have significant asset or change management experience within an IT Department, experience of information asset administration, and understanding of relevant IT management issues and techniques.
- To exhibit positive attitude and behaviour, flexible approach to work, interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills.
- To have IT skills to develop and create reports, documents, and spreadsheets, and the ability to present reports to a high standard.
- To have analytical skills for trend analysis and reporting, flexibility in working pattern to support out of normal hours activities, and understanding of confidentiality issues and data protection.
- To have a full UK driving license and access to own transport.
- Significant asset or change management experience within an IT Department.
- Experience of information asset administration.
- Significant Asset and/or Configuration Management experience within an NHS IT Department with experience of managing and taking a lead role in these areas.
- Understanding of relevant IT management issues and techniques e.g. system change control, user acceptance, helpdesk provision, service level agreements, security standards & data protection.
- Exhibits positive attitude and behaviour and a flexible approach to work.
- Interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management and information analysis.
- IT skills to develop and create reports, documents and spreadsheets, and the ability to present reports to a high standard.
- Analytical skills for trend analysis and reporting.
- Flexibility in your working pattern to support out of normal hours activities as and when required.
- Understanding of confidentiality issues and data protection, and adherence to Trust and Government policies in these areas.
- Have a full UK driving license and access to own transport.
